Red Sands Country Lodge is nestled amongst the Kuruman hills. We cater for conferences and are a popular venue for weddings and other functions. We also have a swimming pool to cool off on those hot Kalahari summer days. We are situated in a 1800 ha private nature reserve with 17 different game species. Guests are welcome to explore the reserve with their own vehicle or discover our bush trails on foot or by mountain bike. Red Sands is a bird watcher’s paradise with over 50 different species identified on our property. Red Sands is ideally located between Kuruman and Kathu, offering an excellent stop-over point for travellers heading to Namibia, the West Coast or the Kgalagadi National Park. If you do not require self catering facilities, consider staying in our comfortable and cozy thatch rondawels. For a self catering accommodation option, consider staying in our Self Catering Chalets. We offer a number of electrified camping and caravan sites among shady camel thorn trees. Campers can choose between using our clean communal ablution facilities, or opt for their own private ablution facility, which includes a toilet, basin, shower and outside washing basin. Accommodation at Red Sands is offered in both self catering chalets and non self catering thatch rondawels. We also offer caravan and camp sites with your choice of communal or en-suite facilities.
